Roy's Next Story

As I've detailed in my latest blog post, I've got some ideas for original stories that I feel like sharing. Unfortunately, since for me to write a story is incredibly taxing, especially since I now don't have the freedom of choice from 24 hours of every day to work in anymore, I can only put one up at this time. So you all get to help me decide which to write.

Pick one of the poll options to vote, or post below with what you think I should do, or post a comment to my blog, or, to make me feel really important, do all three!

In one week, the poll will close and I'll pick. When I pick a story to continue with, I'll give a little bit more of a teasing summary. The actual story should hopefully come out in the April region.

Can you fill me in with some more info about "Meditation"? Exactly who is meditating, for example.

"Meditation" is more of an experiment. It's just a oneshot of someone meditating. It's one of the stories I've got in mind where the reader really creates the vision themselves. The person who is meditating is taking the time out to close their eyes and listen to the sounds of the world, and says aloud everything they can hear. Through this, the reader creates the images themselves, as if they were that person.

That's the goal of it, anyway, but like I said, it's more of an experiment, and likely wouldn't be the best.

Crap it, now I wish I could have voted again. Let's see, I voted here, will be posting, and hopefully on your blog, too. Though I feel horrible now cuz I exited your blog a second ago before I actully read the "post on the blog" part.

I personally voted for "Kiss Her Already!" which is a little weird for me, but oh, well. My second choice would be "Meditation" since DjangoKatie asked for the summary and it sounds cool.

Anyway, I wouldn't have suggested that you voted for "Meditation" if you had, because it is more experimental than all others and would likely end up coming out worse than all others.

Actually, only one of those (and I'm sure you can guess which one) is a slightly romantic story, and didn't I say these were original works? This isn't fanfiction at all.

I was hoping that you'd see that as part of the fun: just pick your favourite sounding story title and see what happens?

Don't worry, I mean you'll get to read all of them in due time anyway, and I would've thought that I had done well enough already to bestow confidence in others that when I write, it's gonna be adequate at worst.

Okay, the voting time is over… Phew, I'm glad that a story was voted for on my blog, or this'd be a three way tie!

So, including that one, "Hell Doesn't Burn Me" has the most votes, but that's the one story I was hoping the most that people wouldn't vote for, as I'm not done researching for it. Yes, I did say I have to do research for it; what of it?

So, next one down is… still a tie. Dammit!

Okay, personal preference saves the day: Of those two, I'll take "Kiss Her Already!" over "Meditation". I'll have a summary up a little later, I suppose.

Quick note: New name of the story is "A Night To Remember". Turns out even a completely random spawn of creativity can morph into something completely different by the time I start writing.

As for a summary…well, I'm sure you'll appreciate it when I post it. Only a couple of weeks to go anyway.

When I've finished the five or six that are still in progress, but are you really saying that that's all you've come to expect from me? If so, I wouldn't even bother putting any of my other fanfics on my site.
