    Fireside Girl Jamboree

Post by Roy42 on Mon Oct 19, 2009 1:57 pm

The Fireside Girls Jamboree is Candace's last chance to attend a live performance of her favourite band, The Paisley Sideburn Brothers. But it's only for Fireside Girls! Well Isabella can jus- wait, Candace is going to become a Fireside Girl? But she's got to obtain 50 patches in one day to bypass the rigmarole and just get the ticket; can she do it? Maybe with Phineas and Ferb's help, sure. Elsewhere, while the Agency's teleport isn't quite perfected, Perry has still managed to make it to Doofenshmirtz' lair to stop him from enacting poetic evil on the cupcakes that keep ruining his waistline… which we really don't need to see.

This can be called my biggest letdown of the series. Thought at first it would reveal more secrets about these Fireside Girls, not at Candace trying to become one of them. Yeah, so we know now Adyson's last name is Sweetwater, but this episode seems somewhat boring, especially in the Perry department.

As I've smugly said to so many people before, that's what you get for giving into hype and speculation.

But still, wouldn't "Temple of Sap" be the episode that had more speculation about it, or at least the episode that was supposed to have more secrets than this one?

Definitely a victim of speculation, not so much hype.

No, both; Speculation forms a presumptuous opinion, and collective presumptuous opinions, like that from the PaF Wiki, YouTube, etc. build hype for an episode.

Anyway, I thought it was good, especially to see another rollercoaster through the city.

I would have presumed that Doofy has too high a metabolism to have to go on a diet. I'm sure chasing monotremes all day is quite slimming.

I did not buy into the hype at all. Like Roy, I am no longer going for hype, and am thereby taking the more conservative approach that "seeing is believing". Roy has been using this philosophy for quite a while, and I have been doing the same, and it works.

Anwyays, I also found the episode rather unintersting (or as DjangoKatie said, boring).......in fact, I admit that I nearly wanted to turn off the television in the middle of the episode. Not as good as the latest slew of episodes that are out, and definitely the worst of the bunch so far. I hope the rest aren't as disappointing, otherwise, like many other fans of the show, I won't be very happy or will be looking forward to any new episodes that air.

Not the best episode ever for several reasons, one of them being the Paisley Sideburn Brothers reminded me too much of the Jonas Brothers. I agree with Roy though, I did enjoy another rollercoaster.

Huh, I didn't realise that personally perceiving a band that you didn't even hear any songs from in the show as a resemblance to the Jonas Brothers means that the episode goes down in quality.

Well, it didn't really make the quality go down. It was just something I noticed. I mean, there were other things, like the overall plot, that made the quality go down. I was just making an example and in retrospect, it was a pretty bad example because it had nothing to do with the plot. Sorry Roy!

Who is the VA for the Fireside Girls founder?

    (Does this sound right?)

I just saw Chez Platypus. It appears you are correct. And Tip of The Day might count...but that's it.
